Overview
Mr. Knox has broad public accounting experience with a variety of small to midsized businesses with an emphasis on medical clients. He has extensive experience in planning, preparation and compliance for corporations and partnerships. He has been involved in many aspects of medical practices and ambulatory surgery centers, including practice accounting and tax management, developing physician compensation formulas and implementing cost allocation systems, oversight of practice management software, including EMR and patient file management.
His experience includes analysis and management of ancillary services to include compliance with Stark rules, supervisor of human resources functions, including fiduciary duties for retirement plans, and oversight of Risk Management function. He has negotiated physician partner buy in and buyout contracts, including deferred compensation retirement planning, implementation of asset protection plans and coordination of asset protection structures. He has extensive experience in tax strategies for physicians, their practices and their long-term wealth accumulation goals.
His experience in the management and operation of ambulatory surgery centers includes revenue accounting and case supply cost management and direct responsibility for all income tax issues.
