Kevin Brown


Kevin is managing partner of CLA Global and leads the global tax, accounting, and consulting services for CLA out of New York. Kevin has more than 17 years of experience in U.S. international tax compliance and consulting and spent 16 years at London/New York-based U.S. boutique tax practice Frank Hirth.

Kevin has developed both a broad and deep knowledge within the realms of U.K. and U.S. international taxation with particular focus on businesses, entrepreneurs, and high net worth families moving and/or expanding from one jurisdiction to another. Kevin focuses on U.S. inbound and outbound taxation with in-depth knowledge of:

  • Structuring of operations coming in to and out of the U.S.
  • U.S. tax treaty and totalization agreement analysis for businesses, their employees, and individuals
  • Compliance reporting of overseas assets and business interests
  • PFIC reporting and testing
  • OVDP compliance and project management

Kevin writes for CLA's global tax blog to provide personal and professional insights into global business developments in and out of the United States with a particular focus on international taxation.

Kevin has spoken at numerous events including the annual international tax conference held by New York State Society of CPAs and numerous Tech Missions held by U.K. DIT for U.K. businesses looking to expand in the U.S.

Kevin has a particular focus on the technology, creative media, sports, and entertainment industries and their special quirks given the complexities involved in cross-border issues for such industries.
