Scott Stogsdill is a federal tax incentive consultant for Research Credits (IRC 41), Energy Efficient Commercial Buildings (IRC 179D), Energy Efficient Residential Buildings (IRC 45L), Cost Segregation, Hiring Credits, and other related state tax incentives.
Scott came to CLA with more than a decade of tax controversy experience (almost exclusively with tax incentives) and is a member of the bar for the U.S. Tax Court. He has successfully mediated hundreds of cases with the IRS and the California FTB. He also advises clients on document retention standards and the creation of internal processes to develop contemporaneous documentation that will help validate and defend various tax positions.
