Overview
Dean has more than 24 years of experience providing audit, internal audit, and consulting services to credit union and credit union related organizations. He has provided consulting services in the areas of business lending, bond claim preparation, product costing and profitability, and asset/liability management. He also has experience related to credit union 990 tax issues as well as unrelated business income tax issues. Dean has also worked as an internal auditor at IBM Mid America Employees Federal Credit Union.
In addition to being a certified public accountant he is also a certified internal auditor.
Dean has worked with a number of large credit unions on strategic issues such as board governance and enterprise risk management, as well as the role of internal audit and risk management, regulatory issues, and many accounting related topics.

In the community
Dean serves on a committee for the Association of Credit Union Internal Auditors (ACUIA). He has served as a school board member and on his church board for a number of years. He also served as a volunteer firefighter and coached a number of youth sports teams.
