John is chief industry officer for CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen), and firm-wide leader for the private industries. He is a passionate ambassador for the CLA Promise. CLA exists to create opportunities - for our CLA team, our clients, the industries we serve and our communities.  CLA is successful when we fulfill the CLA Promise - we promise to know you and to help you.  As a member of the leadership team, he is also an enthusiastic promoter of our position as a professional services firm delivering seamlessly integrated wealth advisory, outsourcing, and public accounting capabilities.

For more than 30 years, John has dedicated his career to providing high-value business and financial solutions. He helps the firm's industry, service, and geographic leaders pursue growth initiatives, seamlessly integrate our capabilities, build fulfilling careers for our people, and continue to develop our deep industry expertise.

As CIO of the private sector, John works closely with the leaders of the specialized service capabilities and industry groups that are immersed in the industries of our private sector business clients and act as a resource for the owners of these enterprises. His client service responsibilities include strategic planning, feasibility studies, operational and performance improvement, implementing system redesign, and other organizational change for business owners, health care, and senior living providers.

Over the years, John has served in a variety roles, including chief strategy officer, chief practice officer for industries; managing principal for health care; and managing principal for the Charlotte office. He is a member of the board of directors, and served two years as board chair. He has also served as principal in charge of senior living and a client relationship principal.

John encourages CLA team members to transform their enthusiasm and passion for their work into action for professional, community, and civic organizations. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and North Carolina Association of CPAs, and is active with a variety of professional and health care organizations, including Chief Strategy Officer Summit, International Association of Outsourcing Professionals, Home Health Financial Managers Association, National Association for Home Care, LeadingAge, and American Health Care Association.

In addition, he is active with a number of personal and charitable endeavors, including Riley's Catch (board member), Friends of Kijabe (board member), and Elevation Church (finance and expansion team).
