Overview
Steve is a tax principal in the firm’s Overland Park, Kansas office. He has over 30 years of public accounting experience and specializes in tax planning services for a wide range of companies in diverse industries, including manufacturing, wholesale distribution, professional service companies, construction and real estate. He works closely with the management teams of privately held companies to develop business plans, including succession planning and tax strategies.
Technical experience
- Providing full accounting, tax, and advisory services to closely held companies in a wide variety of industries
- Due diligence engagements in conjunction with evaluating business acquisitions and negotiating their purchase
- State and local tax planning used to control state tax liability and in some cases create competitive pricing advantages
- Corporate structuring and restructuring to capitalize on favorable tax positions
