Overview
Jean Bushong is an Assurance Principal in the CliftonLarsonAllen nonprofit, government and higher education group. Jean brings over 20 years of experience in higher education, non-profit, and state and local goverment industries. During this time, she has provided audit, internal control consulting, agreed-upon procedures and other attest services to numerous higher education institutions, nonprofit organizations, state and local governments (collectively referred to as the public sector). As a result, Jean is very familiar with public sector processes, internal control structures, and procedures.
Jean serves as CLA's National Higher Education - Public Institutions Subindustry Principal-in-Charge. In addtion, Jean is an instructor for continuing professional education courses, both on a local and national level. She has led educational sessions for both clients and firm members on GASB technical updates, FASB technical updates, endowment accounting, Student Financial Aid audit considerations, client matters when undergoing a Single Audit, accounting for contributions, ethics/fraud, internal control considerations and other public sector technical updates and changes.
