The Uniform Guidance requires your organization to establish and maintain effective internal controls over federal awards that provide reasonable assurance that the award is being managed in compliance with federal statutes, regulations, and the terms and conditions of the award. It also states that, as a best practice, these internal controls should follow the “Internal Control Integrated Framework,” issued by the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSCO).
